Logic and Humor?!?!?! Barack and Hillary, making politics fun.

The Super Ticket
Nuts and Gum, together at last.

Winston Churchill once said “Any man under 30 who is not a liberal has no heart, and any man over 30 who isn’t a conservative has no brain.” Winston Churchill also once said, “I hate Indians. They are a beastly people with a beastly religion,” so lets all take a deep breath and remember that Mr. Churchill wasn't always right.

Tonight I watched the Democratic debate, the last before super Tuesday. Obama and Clinton discussed in detail their plans for Healthcare, national security, education, Iraq, experience and censorship. While I thought both did a good job making their points, I felt that Senator Obama did an AMAZING job explaining his stances and viewpoints. I know I've been posting about him a lot lately but I can't help it...for the first time in my life I not only support a candidate, but I feel INSPIRED by a candidate. This isn't a long post, because I don't want to shove my opinions down anyone's thoat (we get enough of that from the ultra conservatives who call anyone who disagrees with them un-American and naive) but I urge you if you can to watch some or all of the debate tonight. Youtube and CNN both have links to it on their websites.

Also, I am about half way through Senator Obama's book "The Audacity of Hope" and I strongly recommend it...it truly is a great read. Finally, I have one last thing I want to address, (and I promise my next post will be about something funny and light hearted) lately I keep getting the impression that people feel that the thoughts and opinions of American soldiers are more important than civilian opinions. I want to stress this is not the case. Now please understand, I have the utmost respect for the men and women that serve our country, they are heroes and should be treated as such. But just as gender, race, or religion should not play a part in our equal rights as human beings, neither should our jobs. I personally know service men and women of all different political affiliations, and not a single one of their opinions is more important than the next. It is the true beauty of our country that the Baptist Army general and the feminist lesbian both have equal say in the way our country should be run. A vote is a vote, and while I cannot emphasize enough how much respect I have for our national heroes, I feel like it needs to be said that just because someone is in the military, it doesn't give them the right to act as if everyone else's opinions on political issues are less important...

That being said...I hope you all vote on Tuesday, regardless of whom you choose to vote for...

KATIE: Per the news this morning Mitt Romney is expected to be in Chicago late tonight to campaign tomorrow...maybe you could get an autograph??? :)

Huckabee will be in MO...so you know, warn Tim & Betty to not wear their spider pig shirts...as he might have them arrested for some sort of blasphemy against God.

Spider Pig is not in any way blasphemous. God made Spider Pig just like he made me and you.

But he didn't make the gays...they of course are not God's children...nor are the Muslims or the Buddhists, or people in New York...
